Chiropractic, Spinal & Neuro Problems

Giving You Your Freedom Back from Chronic Pain

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

For years research strongly supported that the symptoms of Carpal Tunnel stems from problems in the spine of the neck. The spine has a direct link to the health of the wrist, due to the nerves. Nerves that start in the neck branch down to the shoulder, to the elbow, wrist and fingers. A misalignment of a vertebra in the neck can lead to a variety of wrist conditions.

Scoliosis

Chiropractors are highly educated in the detection and treatment of scoliosis. Often these curves can progress rapidly during growth of an individual. Measurements of the spinal curvatures on x-ray allows for proper diagnosis. Research shows that chiropractic adjustments reduces the lateral curvatures of the spine and decreases the need for surgery.

Acid Reflux

Acid Reflux research has been linked to problems with the lower and upper part of the spine. The research shows that patients with IBS and Acid Reflux have a significantly higher risk of back pain. Interference to these nerves may cause dysfunction to proper bowel and stomach function.

High Blood Pressure

New reports on WebMD indicate that proper chiropractic adjustments “have the effect of not one, but two blood pressure medications with no side effects”. Results showed that subjects had a significant decrease in their blood pressure. The first bone in the neck, the Atlas is linked directly to the regulation of blood pressure.

Shoulder Pain

Misalignment of the cervical spine leads to stressed muscles not only in the neck, but also the entire shoulder. Nerves may become impinged, causing the muscles to spasm and function poorly.

Stomach & Digestive Issues

Research into Acid Reflux links Acid Reflux to problems with the lower and upper part of the spine. The research shows that patients with IBS and Acid Reflux have a significantly higher risk of back pain. Interference to these nerves may cause dysfunction to proper bowel and stomach function.

Allergies/Sinus Issues

Every year in the USA 60 million people suffer from allergies and sinus related issues. Allergies/sinus issues occur due to a poorly functioning immune system. One of the best ways to improve immune system function is to improve nervous system function through chiropractic. Ronald Pero, Ph.D., chief of cancer prevention research at New York’s Preventive Medicine Institute found that chiropractic patients had a 200 percent greater immune-competence than people who had not received chiropractic, and 400 percent greater immune-competence than people with cancer or other serious diseases. Pero concluded that “chiropractic may optimize whatever genetic abilities you have” so that you can fully resist serious disease.

Posture

Think about how healthy people usually stand? According to the American Journal of Pain Management “Posture effects and moderates every physiologic function from breathing to hormonal production. Spinal pain, headache, mood, blood pressure, pulse, and lung capacity are among the most easily influenced by posture”. Take a deep breath in and out, now stick your head out and roll your shoulders in and take another breath. It’s much harder, reducing lung function by up to 30%. The American Geriatric Society posted an article that showed a “44% increased death rate with 1.7-cm of hyperkyphosis, due to association with restrictive pulmonary disease and poor physical function.

Knee Pain

Your spine is like a car, if your car is out of alignment what happens to the tires? They will wear out more on one side. Your body is no different. When your hips are misaligned it will cause a wear pattern on the knee, ankle and foot below. Sacroiliac (sacrum and pelvis) and Lumbar (low back) misalignment may affect the hip and, in turn, the leg alignment putting an extreme amount of strain on the entire low body including the knee.
